Location: Toolara, near Gympie, QLD
Work Type: Full Time
Salary: Starting rate based on trade classification (C9, C8 or C7) – $100K - $120K+ OTE for dayshift, up to $150K+ for permanent rotating shift.

About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and safety-conscious Maintenance Fitter to join our team at the Toolara Manufacturing Plant near Gympie.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining plant and machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This is a dayshift role to start, with flexible roster options to suit your lifestyle. 

  • 5-day week
  • 9-day fortnight
  • 4 x 10-hour days (4-day week)

There is also potential to transition into a permanent 24/7 rotating shift roster (12-hour shifts) or cover shifts when required—paid at applicable shift rates.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Inspecting, testing, and maintaining machinery and equipment
  • Performing condition monitoring to prevent breakdowns
  • Milling, machining, and general plant maintenance
  • Fault finding and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Supporting a strong safety culture through our PROTECT framework
  • Collaborating with a supportive and skilled team

What You’ll Bring
  • Trade Certificate – Maintenance Fitter (5+ years in fixed plant manufacturing preferred)
  • Experience with plant equipment such as presses, saws, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and thermal oil systems
  • Tickets in Confined Space Entry, EWP, Working at Heights, and Rigging
  • Strong milling and machining skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Condition monitoring experience (advantageous)
