We manufacture and procure a broad range of products for commercial and residential use such as laminate, engineered stone, and veneers so that all Australians can live in beautiful, practical spaces.

Where your story begins:
We are seeking an experienced and safety-oriented Maintenance Fitter at our Cheltenham site in Melbourne.

The Maintenance Fitter will ensure the plant and machinery in designated areas is properly maintained and operating efficiently, while considering costs and the production schedule. This position requires a good understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance.

This is a permanent full-time position. Throughout the first 6-month probation period, you will work Monday - Friday on dayshift (6am - 2.20pm). Following the successful completion of your probation, you MUST be willing and able to continue on the day shift or possibly move to a rotating shift schedule, which includes 12-hour shifts in a 24/5 operation, with regular overtime available on both rosters.


Key focuses & responsibilities will include:
  • Inspecting, testing, and maintaining machinery and equipment in process and packaging areas.
  • MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
  • Condition monitoring to prevent breakdowns.
  • Able to fault find and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical machinery + pumps and conveyers.
  • Performing general plant and building maintenance work.
  • Pro-actively demonstrate a personal commitment to safety and our PROTECT safety culture.
  • Develop and maintain positive work relationships within the team.

The role you’ll play:

  • Trade qualified plus manufacturing, hydraulics, and pneumatic experience.
  • Confined space entry, EWP, Working at Heights, and Rigging ticket.
  • Competent with MIG, TIG, and ARC welding (Mandatory).
  • Previous exposure to pressure welding (well regarded).
  • Able to handle changing priorities.
  • Able to work both supervised and unsupervised.
  • Able to work independently (will be the sole Fitter on site at times).
  • Condition monitoring experience - tech-savvy.
  • Ability for equipment fault finding and resolving issues to minimize unplanned equipment downtime events.
