The Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join our team based in Tauriko, Tauranga. This is a Monday to Friday position with additional on-call duties as part of a weekly rotating roster. The role offers a competitive call-out allowance, along with travel reimbursement for call-outs. Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager, this role will see you responsible for safely undertaking quality, cost effective and efficient mechanical maintenance services to minimise unplanned downtime and maximise throughput.

About You
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred within related plant environments like cement, steel, plastics, dairy, pulp and paper.
  • Level 4 Engineering Trade certificate or other relevant qualification.
  • High level trouble-shooting skills combined with great problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and think on your feet.
  • Take active responsibility and lead by example in Health & Safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to confidently collaborate, co-operate and share information around faults, issues and actions required with key plant stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
