Maintenance Planner - Ballarat

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Planner at Laminex, you will be instrumental in coordinating and planning maintenance activities across our Ballarat sites. This role is perfect for someone with a strong organisational mindset who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will be working closely with our maintenance teams, operations staff, and contractors to ensure that our facilities run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.


Your Day Will Involve:

  • Leading the planning and scheduling of corrective (CM) and preventative maintenance (PM) work orders, liaising between site maintenance staff, operations, and contractors.
  • Preparing maintenance plans for review and agreement with maintenance and operations teams, ensuring alignment with production planning requirements.
  • Identifying the correct work instructions, parts, tools, labour, and equipment needed for each job.
  • Ensuring timely completion of regulatory maintenance activities, including collecting and reviewing service reports and compliance documentation.
  • Tracking planned vs. actual performance in work order management, including schedule compliance.
  • Conducting formal planning meetings with all stakeholders.
  • Promoting a safe workplace and fostering a culture of safety and compliance.

What Are We Looking For?

  • A team player with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience in planning and leading maintenance activities, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise tasks and work within defined timeframes.
  • An understanding of the governance and protocols related to purchasing, issuing, and maintaining spare parts inventory.
  • Familiarity with maintenance regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a sound understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) like MEX or similar.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) and workplace diversity.
