About the Role
Due to an internal promotion, we are looking to introduce an experienced and capable Management Accountant to our Finance & Commercial team located in Strathpine. This position is a key partner within Iplex, responsible for bringing strong governance, discipline and clarity to our cost environment. Operating across a highly complex manufacturing business with thousands of SKUs, you will take ownership of standard costing, cost accuracy and process control, ensuring our data, cadence and reporting support confident decision making. This is a role for someone who is comfortable working with autonomy, managing up, and influencing across operations, finance and supply chain to embed robust, repeatable cost practices.

You will play a hands-on role in resetting and maintaining cost structures, controlling budget volumes, and providing clear insight into cost movements and variances. With a strong focus on governance, compliance and continuous improvement, you will establish effective processes around cost updates, inventory controls and reporting, while building trusted relationships with stakeholders to ensure cost integrity is understood, embedded and sustained across the business. The role goes beyond traditional cost accounting, providing meaningful commercial insight that supports decision making, performance improvement, and long-term value creation

More about You! 
  • Experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing or industrial environment 
  • Proven ownership of standard costing, including governance, update cadence and variance control 
  • Strong capability in cost modelling, budget resets and volume driven cost analysis 
  • Comfortable working autonomously with the ability to influence cross functional stakeholders 
  • Experience with ERP systems (JDE or similar highly regarded) and cost/master data structures 
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear commercial insight
  • Tertiary qualification is finance or accounting 
  • Excellent communicator, self-starter and enthusiastic
