Are you mechanically minded and eager to kickstart a long-term career in industrial maintenance? Join our dedicated team at the Asphalt Plant as a Mechanical Maintenance Apprentice. You'll work alongside experienced professionals who will mentor you.


About the role

Reporting to the Supervisor you will be responsible for a range of maintenance tasks.  This is a full time permanent apprenticeship opportunity.  You will be working Monday-Friday from 6am for a minimum of 40 hours per week and on occasion you will be on call for evenings/weekends.

  • Fix and maintain pumps, motors, sprockets, and conveyor belts
  • Operate and maintain the plant, including mixing asphalt and operating loaders
  • Follow maintenance schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, and annual)
  • Ensure general plant cleanliness
  • Learn the mechanical workings of the plant and assist with general operations


What you’ll bring to the role

  • Mechanically minded with a strong work ethic
  • Self-starter, proactive and problem solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow with upskilling and training opportunities
  • Ideally holds WTR and forklift endorsements
  • Flexible with working hours and available for on-call duties
