Shape the future of health and safety in one of New Zealand’s leading building materials companies.

At Fletcher Building, we believe all injuries are preventable. We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Health & Injury Business Partner to join our Concrete Division and help us drive a proactive safety culture across our operations.

About the Role
As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you’ll partner with business units to deliver impactful health, wellness, and injury management programs. You’ll support early intervention initiatives, manage ACC claims, and ensure our people are fit, healthy, and safe at work.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of Fletcher Building’s ACC Accredited Employer Program (AEP)
  • Manage injury and illness cases (work and non-work), including early intervention and return-to-work plans
  • Oversee occupational health monitoring and ensure compliance with health standards
  • Provide expert advice on medical suitability during recruitment processes
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-practice health and wellbeing outcomes
  • Coach and mentor EHS teams and operational leaders on injury management and health initiatives
  • Monitor and report on health and injury metrics, ensuring continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years’ experience in occupational health, injury management, or a related field
  • Tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline (e.g. physiotherapy, occupational therapy) or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of ACC processes and health monitoring programs
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for health and wellbeing
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business

Why Join Us?
At Fletcher Building, we’re committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace. You’ll be part of a team that values innovation, continuous improvement, and putting people first.

We offer:
  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • Career development opportunities
  • A collaborative and values-driven culture
  • The chance to make a real impact on the health and safety of our people
