We are currently looking for a National EHS Manager, based in Auckland or Hamilton to lead the ongoing development of our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy. As part of a culture change regarding safety behaviours and attitudes, we have substantially invested in our safety leadership framework and in technology and learning tools to better educate our people on safety behaviours. This is an exciting role, part of our leadership team and is a key enabler to continue this step-change in safety culture and will make sure it is applied in a meaningful way across our manufacturing and distribution sites.

Ideally you will bring:

Deep understanding and experience of EHS within large, complex organisations
Will have had 8 – 10 years (minimum) EHS experience
Relevant graduate degree (preferably postgraduate degree) in safety or a related discipline
Strong priorities management and problem solving capability
Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, seen as engaging and able to build trust and rapport with diverse range of stakeholders
Highly effective influencing and persuasion skills at all levels within organisations
Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
Preferably trained in ICAM (or similar a similar investigation process) and auditing

You are confident and not afraid to introduce change and new ways of doing things. You can clearly and simply articulate EHS strategy and how to achieve it while getting buy-in from key stakeholders and staff.
