Description

The role: 
As the Account Manager – Key Accounts for Mico, you’ll play an integral part in developing strategic partnerships and servicing our national accounts across the Auckland, Northland, and Waikato regions. Working as a trusted partner to our key clients, you will develop and implement high quality customer account plans, which maximise revenue, strengthen customer relationships and deliver strong commercial outcomes for Mico.

You will be responsible for: 
  • The end-to-end sales management of our key customers 
  • Optimising and managing existing trading relationships with our key customers, including contract negotiations
  • Partner with our Area Sales Managers, Sales Reps and branch network across the country to maintain and grow our market share
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities on a national scale
  • Ensure our key customers are receiving the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction
  • Assisting the National Sales Manager – Key Accounts to develop and implement systems which create and sustain a high-performance sales culture.
  • Collaborate closely with our internal teams to drive value, innovation, and service delivery improvements across your customer portfolio
This is a full-time permanent role based in Auckland. 

About you: 
With a proven high-level Account Management background and a real passion for our industry you will be self-driven and have exceptional negotiation skills. You will be a natural relationship builder that can communicate at all levels, genuinely enjoys, and thrives on building strong credible working relationships.

To really understand our customers and to be successful in this role you will need to also demonstrate the following -  
  • A strong background in sales, ideally within the plumbing or building industries
  • Proven track record of business development and account managing (minimum 5 years) 
  • You’re decisive and have the ability to introduce innovative ideas and strategies around customer value 
  • Highly commercial outlook, comfortable with complex data and problem-solving including pricing dynamics and costs to serve
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to engage customers at a senior level 
  • Be self-motivated, results driven, and customer focused
  • Have a sound understanding of the B2B sales process along with the ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders
