Description

Higgins are seeking a Network Inspector to join the team working on the Waikato District Council northern road maintenance and renewals contract. 

The contract covers a roading network of approximately 1200km in North Waikato from Huntly to Pōkeno and you will be responsible for inspecting network and assets to determine performance and compliance. Your key function will be to identify, log defects and monitor maintenance to the network and use this data to assist in preparing the maintenance and renewal programmes.

What you’ll bring to the role: 
  • Proven industry experience (5+ years), preferably in road maintenance or civil construction 
  • Practical experience using RAMM is essential 
  • Full Class 1 Driver's license  
  • An understanding of the technical, contractual and financial requirements involved in maintenance contracts 
  • You will also need an eye for detail, a methodological and organised approach and a commitment to quality of service.  
  • A strong focus on Clients and relationships 
  • Strong focus on health and safety not just your own but your colleagues and the public 
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to think for yourself
