Our Auckland branch is a hub of energy, expertise, and excellence—and we’re looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to lead the charge.

As Operations Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our Auckland branch’s operational success. You’ll oversee production, logistics, inventory, and team performance—ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership role where strategic thinking meets practical execution.A 3 Day ‘Made to Order’ leadtime is a challenge to test most but you’ll thrive; balancing operational efficiency and cost with our need to consistently meet our customer promise. You will ensure our customers experience the strong customer centric service, quality and delivery Dimond is known for and sets us apart from our competitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations across manufacturing, warehousing, and dispatch
• Drive continuous improvement in productivity, safety, and quality
• Manage and mentor a team of supervisors and frontline staff
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and supply chain teams to meet customer expectations
• Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to ensure performance targets are met
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental standards
• Manage budgets, resources, and operational planning

About You

We’re looking for a confident senior leader with a passion for operational excellence and a knack for problem-solving. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a collaborative, can-do attitude. You set high standards and support your team to meet them, ensuring they have what is needed for them to achieve. Able to prioritise, you ensure the effective resolution of short-term issues with the long-term actions that drive the site forward.

You’ll Need:

• Proven experience in leading large operation teams , manufacturing, or logistics management
• Strategic Thinking – able to effectively diagnose the drivers behind the status quo and put in place  actions to improve.
• Ability to influence outcomes and change, more than activity you need to be able to shift the dial across cost, quality and people.
• Strong commercial acumen – able to identify the actionable insights within a suite of reporting available to you.
• Authentic leadership – you mentor, coach and develop those around you to achieve high standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Solid understanding of health & safety and lean manufacturing principles
• Experience with ERP systems and operational reporting
• A background in building products or industrial manufacturing is a plus
