Description

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a genuine interest in HR to join our People and Performance team at Mico. You will report to the P&P Manager and support the National Business Partner. The HR side of the role will be about 70% of what you do with the additional 30% focused on EHS systems and reporting requirements. This role will provide plenty of diversity and opportunity for you to learn and develop along the way.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
Creating and sending documents (such an employment contracts), ensuring consistency with policy & legislation
Taking ownership of our HR systems in relation to our people data which starts when people join us and follows their tenure through to when they decide to leave.
Understanding our primary EHS system and being able to work with our EHS Manager to pull reports and ensure the systems are being used as intended.
Supporting (and learning!) about annual HR initiatives like our Engagement Surveys, mid and year end reviews, the Remuneration review process, the yearly Incentive design process etc.
Running reports and providing key stake-holders with timely information to support business decisions.
Exposure to our Learning Management system with the view to ensuring content is fit for purpose.

This is a permanent full time role, working Monday - Friday based at our National office in Penrose.

About you:
You will be curious with a keen desire to learn and understand why things are done the way they are. You will be able to proactively look for information and start to solve problems without relying on others to give you the answers. We are a close-knit team and you will have lots of support, but we are looking for someone who will really want to own their space and be recognised as a ‘go to’ person in our business.
We need someone who has a high eye for detail and exceptional pride in the work they deliver. You will be known for being systems savvy and highly organised. Chances are that people who know you will probably tease you for needing to have things ‘just’ right!
We are a team who is always looking for ways to be better and we challenge ways of working which could be better. We want you to be part of that, to have a voice and a continuous improvement mindset and a level of confidence to share your ideas with us.
