Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pavements Site Engineer to join the Higgins Team on the Eastern Busways Alliance (EBA) on a Fixed Term Contract until project completion in August 2027.

The alliance includes Auckland Transport, Fletcher Construction, ACCIONA, AECOM and Jacobs. We are delivering a significant project for Auckland, creating separate lanes for new high-frequency bus services to connect people from Botany, Pakuranga and the surrounding suburbs with the rail network in Panmure.

What you’ll bring to the role:

5+ years practical experience on civils and roading projects in an Engineering capacity
Understanding and experience of pavement construction
You will hold relevant tertiary qualification
A strong focus on cost control and quality outcomes.
Understanding of the Construction Contracts Act and the knowledge to apply NZS3910
Experience managing project resources including materials and teams/crews is favourable.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders and clients.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and general systems aptitude.
