Payroll Systems Analyst – 15-Month Fixed Term

Location: Penrose, Auckland

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Payroll Systems Analyst to join our NZ Payroll team on a fixed-term basis, covering parental leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team and support payroll operations across multiple business units.

Reporting to the Payroll Systems Lead, you will provide expertise to support processes and system improvements, the ability to analyse and interpret end-to-end processes, and provide day-to-day support to the payroll team through system-related changes, project development, integration, and testing activities.

Subsequent training to affected parties where appropriate, prepare documentation, user notes, and specification documents to support system developments. You will also be required to assist with developing test scripts and test plans.

About you

As someone with demonstrated experience in Payroll, you will have experience using Chris21 payroll system or similar, be confident in Excel, and the ideal candidate will also possess:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to manage system changes and data migrations
NZPPA Level 3 certification (Certified Payroll Specialist) or above is an advantage
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A continuous improvement mindset and ability to work independently
