Description

At Laminex, we don’t just make surfaces — we create possibilities.

As one of Australia’s most recognised design and manufacturing brands, we’re proud of our heritage, our people, and the impact our products have on homes, workplaces and communities across the country. Our success is built on deep industry expertise, an entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine commitment to innovation, sustainability and great design.

What truly sets us apart is our people. Across Australia, more than 1,300 team members in Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Corporate Services are the backbone of our business — driving performance, shaping culture and positioning Laminex as a market leader.

About the Role

Reporting to the National People & Performance Manager, this is a senior, highly influential role where HR genuinely has a seat at the table.

With a remit across our Victorian operational sites, you will partner closely with the functional Leadership Team to shape people strategy, lift capability and drive performance. This is a broad, end to end People & Performance role, spanning change management, ER/IR, organisational development, DE&I, talent and engagement — with a strong focus on industrial relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the functional leadership team to deliver people strategies aligned to business outcomes
  • Lead all IR matters across the function, including enterprise agreement negotiations (six EAs)
  • Enhance the employee experience and evolve our Employee Value Proposition
  • Oversee performance, talent and succession processes nationally
  • Lead and deliver people related change initiatives that drive business improvement
  • Implement targeted learning and capability programs
  • Apply strong commercial acumen to identify and deliver people and performance improvements

About You

You’re an experienced HR leader who thrives in complex, operational environments and enjoys influencing at senior levels. You bring:

  • A strong industrial relations background, including proven experience negotiating enterprise agreements
  • Experience supporting both “wired” and non-wired workforces
  • A sharp eye for detail, balanced with a pragmatic, commercial mindset
  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholder needs with confidence
  • A collaborative, hands on approach and strong relationship building capability
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally, recognising the value of face-to-face engagement

What We Offer

Genuine flexibility through a hybrid work model, allowing you to work 2–3 days onsite at Tullamarine or Cheltenham with flexible hours. Our industry-leading parental leave provides 26 weeks of full pay (or 52 weeks at half pay) for primary carers. In addition to a competitive salary and free onsite parking, you'll benefit from access to our award-winning learning academy to support your ongoing development. We also offer access to the Employee Education Fund, an independently managed trust that provides funding for education and training.
