Description

This is a fast paced, Mandarin speaking Phone Based Account Manager role that combines proactive sales with account management. You’ll work closely with a portfolio of smaller trade accounts, building strong relationships, uncovering growth opportunities, and making every customer interaction count. You’ll take a proactive approach to growing revenue by staying connected with customers, understanding their needs, and providing solutions that add real value. 

  • Proactively identifying and pursuing sales opportunities with existing and new customers
  • Ensuring regular contact so you can be ahead of the game
  • Actioning your customers enquiries by phone, email & walk-in customer contact
  • Collaborating with your customers and colleagues to ensure smooth order processing, stock availability, and timely delivery
  • Providing customers with product advice, quotes, and pricing information as well as the tailored solutions
  • Promoting brand awareness and building rapport with key trade customers over the phone

Permanent full-time role based at PlaceMakers Mt Wellington offering 40 hours per week Monday to Friday

About You 
You’re a confident and engaging communicator with a genuine passion for customer service and sales. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in building strong, long-term relationships over the phone.

  • Proven experience in outbound calling, sales or phone-based account management 
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English 
  • Excellent customer service, continually acting in the customer’s best interest
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude with excellent organisational abilities
  • A solutions-focused mindset and the resilience to thrive in a target-driven environment
  • Computer literate, with solid literacy and numeracy skills and ability to pick up new systems 
  • Knowledge of building materials and a solid understanding of construction processes
