Mico Pipelines is a recently re-established category alongside the well established Mico Plumbing & Bathrooms business, Mico is a division of Fletcher Building Ltd and is the name behind New Zealand’s premium distributor of plumbing & bathroom products and now a new Pipeline’s offering.

The role:

This is a new role at the centre of an exciting new side of the Mico business as it launches its Pipelines offering across the New Zealand network. We are currently on a massive growth curve in this area and you will enjoy the variety and opportunities of working in a small but experienced team within a large organisation.

Reporting to the NZ Pipelines Sales Manager, this is a varied role that will see you effectively supporting business opportunities by working closely with the Pipelines team, sales/branch network and contract customers to complete commercial quotations and project supply. 

The role will see you responding to new business opportunities, preparing and compiling accurate tender documents and quotations for customers.  You will manage contract pricing, to maximise price support opportunities, and be accountable for ensuring efficient administration services to provide maximum support to the Pipelines team, the sales team, our branches and our customers.

The role may suit someone with estimating or tendering experience who would like to jump into a brand new side of the Mico business, take ownership of the role and make it their own.  If you enjoy your independence but are a team player with a positive attitude and an out-going personality then this role is for you!

This is a permanent, full-time role, working Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm, but with some flexibility.

About you:

To shine in this role, you’ll have sound knowledge of pipelines and an understanding of Three Waters products, with relevant experience in a trade-related industry. You will need to be extremely organised, proactive, flexible and your time management skills are a must. You will bring a customer-focused attitude and strong work ethic to the business and also have a great eye for detail. The ability to build rapport and relationships should be your strength and you’ll be IT savvy too. Our Pipelines team works collaboratively and so your strong teamwork skills and adaptability are essential to this role.
