Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially savvy individual to be our next Planning and Performance Manager.  This role sits within the Group Performance Management team, a core part of the Group Finance team and will work closely with Functional GM’s, Corporate and Divisional CFO’s, and Business Unit Commercial Managers.

You’ll be responsible for providing meaningful reporting and analysis of the Group’s performance and its future trajectory, achieving best practice performance management and business planning outcomes. You’ll also be seen as a senior financial resource to provide expertise in decision support to business units and other central functions with major transactions as needed.

By virtue of the outputs and interface of this team with the Executive, the Planning and Performance Manager role is critical in delivering the Group’s actual and projected performance metrics and ensuring quality and meaningful materials are provided.  You will also get involved in various ad-hoc projects, to assist with CFO, P&P, GM Finance or other Group initiatives where either advanced financial support is required, or sensitive data needs to be managed.

The successful candidate will have exposure and contact with our Executive function, where you will provide commercial insights at a senior level, so it’s a great development opportunity for someone wanting to expand and progress their career at Fletcher Building.

To be considered you will be CA qualified with more than  7 years’ experience in senior roles, ideally management accounting and/or reporting roles gained within a large corporate.  You will possess strong analytical skills with an appreciation of required International Financial Reporting Standards and sound internal control mechanisms and processes.

Your ability to communicate complex ideas to a diverse audience and your emotional intelligence skills will see you succeed in this role; furthermore, the ability to influence others to achieve joint objectives is a key attribute.  In return we offer a strong leadership team who are focused on attracting, retaining and rewarding high performers in an engaged and diverse workforce.
