The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic leader who is passionate about people development and engagement.

The role involves overseeing and managing all aspects of operations from raw material ordering through manufacturing to dispatch and is based in Crestmead QLD.

Day to Day Responsibilities include:
  • Safety is our number ONE priority. You will ensure our operations supports our journey towards a national target of Zero Harm.
  • Development and implementing site improvement plans aligned with business strategy.
  • Strong emphasis on building team capability to empower and inspire others to achieve outstanding results. Fostering strong collaboration with local and national support teams.
  • Guide the operating team to identify and enhance technology, culture, capabilities and ensure operating systems deliver best practice and reliable operation.
  • Lead and support direct reports by nurturing capabilities through effective coaching and mentoring, as well a role modelling business principles and values.
  • Ensure budgets are managed effectively, costs are optimised and efficiencies are achieved.
  • Foster continuous improvement in DIFOT.
  • Ad hoc interstate travel required from time to time.
About you
  • Proven experience in a similar role (construction materials / FMCG manufacturing, plant operations, leading large multi-shift teams).
  • Coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment/people engagement.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) with financial & business acumen.
  • Knowledge of Kronos, CMMS (ideally MEX) desirable.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be decisive, ensuring our made-to-order customer base is well supported and satisfied.
  • Preparedness to challenge current norms.
