We are looking for a Fixed Term Plant Services Operator (12 Months) to join our close‑knit Portland team. You’ll work collaboratively across plant services, packhouse, quarry, and production support, contributing to a workplace where everyone looks out for one another and takes pride in their work.

Support the safe and efficient operation of the cement production process across plant services
Operate and maintain bagging, load‑out, and mobile plant equipment in line with SOPs
Assist with waste management, housekeeping, and environmental compliance across site
Carry out pre‑start checks, basic maintenance, fault identification, and troubleshooting
Contribute to a strong safety culture
Work collaboratively with team members, contractors, and drivers

You don’t need experience in everything below—transferable skills are warmly welcomed.

Process or plant operations
Quarry or extractive operations
Process control or production systems
Laboratory or quality sampling environments
Heavy machinery or mobile plant operation
Manufacturing or industrial production settings

What You’ll Bring

A strong commitment to health, safety, and caring for the environment
Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
Practical problem‑solving skills and a calm, thoughtful approach
Comfort working in an industrial environment (dusty, noisy, and active)
Basic computer skills and clear communication
Relevant licences or certifications (or willingness to gain them with our support)
