Description

We are on the lookout for someone who takes pride in providing prompt, efficient and personalised service to customers to join our Auckland team as a Pricing Estimator.

Utilising your influence to negotiate proposals and planning, you will responsible for helping facilitate the sales process and providing accurate quotes to our customers and sales team.

Humes is growing and this role is integral to the future growth of the business. Our ideal candidate will have a sound ability to read and understand technical drawings, competent computer skills, and an eye for detail! The purpose of the role is to provide complete quotations to Humes internal and external customers that are accurate, innovative and timely, that ensure agreed cost and target margins are achieved. To interpret contract documents and provide the sales team with superior support, thus enabling them to win work.

We want to be number one in our key markets so your goal is to build strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders, through delivering outstanding service in your role. There is a great focus on thorough on boarding and development to ensure you are given the knowledge and tools to be able carry out the role to the best of your abilities.

Ngā Pūmanawatanga Ōu | What You Will Bring

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering / Estimating, Quantity Surveying or relevant qualification in Product / Market pricing. 
  • Estimating software competent 
  • Pricing and sales experience in relevant industry and markets would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication written and verbal, and problem-solving abilities 
  • Enthusiastic with a can-do approach
