Join Laminex NZ and support a dynamic and growing building products portfolio across leading brands like STRAND®, Seratone®, and Surround by Laminex.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Category Marketing Manager – Building Products, you’ll provide support across the full product lifecycle, from maintaining and improving existing product outcomes to assisting with new product development through market insights, competitor analysis, positioning, realising opportunities and launch activities.  You’ll partner closely with our key merchants, where you will provide support and assist in driving initiatives, including joint promotions, merchant engagement, and developing insights that tell the story behind performance.

This is a varied, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. Working within a close-knit team, you’ll be proactive and willing to roll up your sleeves to step in wherever needed. You’ll also build strong relationships across the business, enabling you to support the team effectively and contribute to overall business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery and ongoing management of the Building Products portfolio, including continuous improvement initiatives, new product development, and end-to-end product launches that drive demand growth and margin improvement
  • Conduct desktop and formal market research and competitor analysis to generate insights that inform product positioning and enhance customer engagement
  • Collaborate with key merchants to support day to day requests, promotions, drive engagement initiatives, and deliver performance insights
  • Contribute to reporting and analysis to identify trends and commercial opportunities
  • Support project delivery and BAU priorities within a fast-paced, team environment
  • Support and contribute to the Gate process for both existing and new products
  • Gain a good understanding of technical products and features and communicate key benefits into clear, customer focussed value propositions
  • Contribute to the planning, set-up, and delivery of major industry events, providing support and delivering key messages and education to ensure consistent brand messaging and event goals are achieved

What You Bring

  • 2–3 years’ experience in end-to-end product lifecycle management and/or marketing, ideally within a building or technical product environment
  • A genuine passion for learning, with a continuous improvement mindset and a strong interest in building a long-term career in the industry
  • Strong data-driven decision-making capability
  • Results-oriented with a focus on delivering outcomes
  • Confidence operating in a complex, technical product environment
  • Highly developed analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to generate and present insights using Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, customer-focused messaging
  • Highly organised, proactive, and customer-focused, with a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to manage multiple priorities while building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to quickly develop knowledge across regulated products and clearly articulate customer value
  • Experience supporting industry events, including delivering product education and maintaining consistent market messaging
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline preferred
