About Our Position

We are excited to announce an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and meticulous Product Draftsperson to join our technical team at Iplex in Chipping Norton. In this instrumental role, you will be at the forefront of supporting the design and documentation of our diverse product range. Your responsibilities will include generating electronic product models, creating detailed individual product designs, and ensuring all designs comply with applicable Australian product standards.

Your expertise in analysing designs using FEA tools and providing insightful recommendations will be crucial in evolving and enhancing our product offerings. This position is ideal for someone with qualifications in engineering or design who is eager to grow within an established and innovative business. With a consultative approach, you will collaborate closely with our technical design and testing team, as well as product managers, to strengthen and develop our product ranges. Your contributions will directly impact our results and strategic goals set for the business.

Do You Have the Required Skills?

Proficiency in creating and interpreting technical drawings.
Ideally have experience in Manufacturing or with other technical products
Experience using CAD platforms such as Solid Edge and AutoCAD.
Ability to analyse designs using FEA tools and make data-driven recommendations.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or a related field.
Strong communication skills and a consultative approach to design and problem-solving.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing design files and documentation.
