The Opportunity

Iplex Pipelines is a leading manufacturer and supplier of pipeline systems in Australia. We manufacture and distribute an extensive range of pipe products for applications including water, sewerage, mining slurry, gas, telecommunications and electrical conduits.

Reporting to the Innovation Manager and being part of the Innovation and Product Management team, you’ll be based in our Strathpine office in Brisbane.

As a Product Information and Compliance Officer, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of our product information, including the management of the product information database and monitoring product compliance information. You’ll have responsibility for managing product related content on the website and for keeping all product data updated and relevant in the Product Information Management System. 

You'll play a pivotal role in helping to digitize our product information by working with product managers, transferring product catalogues and industry reference guides, to enter the data into our database and website. When necessary you’ll coordinate photoshoots to obtain product images and upload this into the database.

You’ll also have oversight of the product compliance tracking for Iplex. This will involve monitoring expiry of standards, product certifications and product appraisals. You’ll provide regular updates on pending renewals, forecast renewal costs and identify when product information needs to be updated in our product information database. 

When renewals have occurred, you’ll then update the product information databases, websites and inform sales teams as needed to ensure customer management of ranging is maintained.  

About You

This role is for you if you have:
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office, especially in Excel - any formal training is highly advantageous
  • Self-starter with good time management skills and analytical thinking
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Familiarity with technical and mechanical fields of work is highly advantageous, or otherwise a keen interest to learn about technical details
  • Familiarity with IT or compliance is advantageous, or otherwise a keen interest in learning about IT systems
