Description

At Mico, our exclusive Front of Wall brands Raymor and Adesso are a big deal they’re growing fast, they’re loved and trusted by trade, and we want someone who gets excited by shaping where they go next.  As our Product Manager, reporting to the Category Manager FOW and working within the Merchandise & Category team, your job is simple in theory (but definitely not in practice) supporting and assisting in the implementation of our exclusive product strategies across the business to make sure our products are the best choice for our customers every single day.

You’ll own the product lifecycle end to end researching opportunities, developing new products, managing suppliers, refining the range, and setting pricing that makes commercial sense. You’ll also be the person people call when they need answers: branches, sales teams, suppliers, operations. This role brings plenty of variety one moment you’re deep in data, the next you’re debating a product spec, the next you're figuring out why something’s selling better in one region but not another.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of our exclusive FOW products, with a strong focus on Raymor & Adesso
  • Recommend which products to range, stock, and promote across our nationwide branch network
  • Negotiate supplier terms to drive commercial outcomes, margin growth, and category performance
  • Identify new product opportunities and lead concept to launch execution
  • Set list and sell pricing to maximise sales and profitability
  • Analyse performance, market trends, and competitor activity to support strategic planning
  • Work closely with Marketing to deliver strong brand and product campaigns
  • Be a first point of contact for branches and sales teams, providing product guidance and support
Permanent full-time role at Mico Support Office, with the option to be based in either Christchurch or Auckland
offering 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

You work well with suppliers and branch teams because you’re practical, clear, and straight up. And above all, you take pride in shaping products that trade customers genuinely rate.
  • Experience in product management or category management
  • Proven ability to develop and execute customer centric product strategies and plans
  • Track record of driving improvements in customer outcomes, whilst maximizing revenue
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and perform under pressure
  • Understanding of design, compliance, or technical product requirements (advantageous in plumbing/bathroom products)
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of the plumbing or building industry is desirable but not essential
