Part of the Fletcher Building Group, we’re known for quality products, strong customer relationships, and a down to earth, performance driven culture. At Stramit, people roll up their sleeves, work hard, and take pride in delivering results that matter.

The role

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to play a critical role in meeting current and future customer demand by coordinating forward planning across our manufacturing operations. This role is central to ensuring goods are produced efficiently, on time, and to customer expectations.

This role is based on site at our plant at Crestmead between 10am and 6pm.

Working closely with Production, Customer Service and Sales, you will manage mill capacity, balance competing priorities, and smooth peaks and troughs in production across the week. You’ll be highly data driven, comfortable working with detailed information, and confident translating plans into clear, executable schedules.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Generating daily capacity reports and measuring operational efficiency
  • Managing mill capacity and forward production planning
  • Scheduling make to stock orders and printing labels for the mills
  • Ensuring orders are delivered DIFOTIS (Delivered In Full, On Time, In Spec)
  • Working directly with customers to align production priorities
  • Accurate data entry of production details and drawings (approx. 30–40% of the role)
  • Collaborating across teams to resolve issues and keep production running smoothly

About you:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production planning environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Advanced Excel capability (essential)
  • Solid maths skills, particularly geometry
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting drawings
  • Tech savvy and confident working with production systems and data
  • A natural problem solver who thrives in a fast moving, operational role

Why Stramit:

  • Relaxed and easy going team culture that works hard and is highly output focused
  • Fantastic company benefits across the wider Fletcher Building group of companies.
  • 26 weeks full paid parental leave
  • Access to Fitness Passport for you and your family
  • Amazing rewards through Perkbox
  • Access to our Employee Education Fund where we support your growth and development journey

This is a role where your planning capability directly influences operational success and customer satisfaction. If you enjoy problem solving, working with data, and being close to the action on the factory floor, we’d love to hear from you.
