Dimond Roofing, a trusted name in roofing solutions, is seeking a Production Shift Manager, working Monday to Friday 2pm – 10pm, to join our team in our Onehunga site. Your leadership will play a critical role in ensuring we deliver outstanding service and quality to our customers while fostering a positive and safe workplace culture.

As a Production Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our production facility in Onehunga. You will be responsible for managing a team of production staff, ensuring that production targets are met, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff during your shift.
Ensure production schedules are met and products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
Monitor and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Provide coaching, training and development opportunities for your team and conduct regular performance reviews
Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues that arise during your shift.
Maintain accurate records of production activities and report on key performance indicators.
Delivery and embedding of continuous improvement initiatives into our operation

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in the roofing or construction industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
