About This Key Role
We are seeking a bold and accomplished executive leader to take charge of a significant business initiative. This role of Program Director will have executive level reporting lines. The successful candidate will lead a newly created business unit and structure which dedicated to this program. The role has full accountability for strategic direction, external stakeholder engagement, reporting /governance requirement to Board of Directors, operational execution and delivering outcomes that will have a lasting impact across the industry and community. You will be the leader of high-performance teams across different states in Australia so regular travel will be required. 

You will represent the organisation at the highest levels, including board and executive presentations, government engagement, and media-facing communications. This role demands a leader with exceptional commercial agility, a strategic mindset, a strong negotiator and the ability to navigate complex regulatory and legal landscapes. You will be responsible for building and guiding a high-performing team, managing external & internal partners, and ensuring delivery against ambitious business outcomes. This is a high-impact, senior leadership role, not a project management or PMO opportunity, having exposure to working in a large corporate environment will be beneficial in your success. 

Skills & Experience 
  • Either Law degree and experience working in corporate/litigation fields 
  • Or, bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering or related field; MBA or master’s degree highly desirable
  • Extensive executive leadership experience in a complex, multi stakeholder environment 
  • Foster a cross-functional collaboration to achieve project & business objectives
  • Proven ability to communicate and influence at board and senior executive level and with Government agencies/representatives
  • Strong capability in designing and delivering compelling, data-driven presentations at both business and executive levels 
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and cost management
  • Relationship management with regulators and ensuring regulatory compliance 
  • Effective communication and decisions making capabilities
  • Exceptional people leadership capabilities with a track record of leading teams across different states
