About the Role

This is a newly created Project Manager role within our Auckland Airport team. You’ll be hands‑on in construction management, running day‑to‑day delivery in a fast‑moving, operational airport environment. This role suits someone who enjoys ownership, thrives under pressure, and is comfortable guiding teams through complex, highly coordinated work.

Manage delivery of airport civil works
Lead construction planning, sequencing, and execution in a live airport environment
Manage and develop a team of Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and graduates
Coordinate subcontractors, plant, and resources to meet programme demands
Maintain strong commercial control under NZS3910 contracts

What You’ll Bring

A tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
Solid experience managing civil construction projects from establishment through delivery
Demonstrated capability running pavements, airfield, or heavy civil works
Confidence leading teams and making sound decisions in high‑pressure environments
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing NZS3910 contracts
Clear communication style and the ability to work constructively with multiple stakeholders
