About the Role

This is a newly created Project Manager role within our Auckland Airport team.  You’ll be hands‑on in construction management, running day‑to‑day delivery in a fast‑moving, operational airport environment. This role suits someone who enjoys ownership, thrives under pressure, and is comfortable guiding teams through complex, highly coordinated work.

  • Manage delivery of airport civil works
  • Lead construction planning, sequencing, and execution in a live airport environment
  • Manage and develop a team of Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and graduates
  • Coordinate subcontractors, plant, and resources to meet programme demands
  • Maintain strong commercial control under NZS3910 contracts


What You’ll Bring

  • A tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • Solid experience managing civil construction projects from establishment through delivery
  • Demonstrated capability running pavements, airfield, or heavy civil works
  • Confidence leading teams and making sound decisions in high‑pressure environments
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing NZS3910 contracts
  • Clear communication style and the ability to work constructively with multiple stakeholders
