Careers Made Possible at Brian Perry Civil
Ready to take the next step in your career? Join a team that thrives on collaboration and bold thinking, delivering complex civil projects that shape communities and protect environments. Here, your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and your work leaves a lasting impact.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced construction leader to take charge of pump station delivery in Hawke’s Bay. This role is focused on the construction phase and will suit either a seasoned Project Manager or a senior Project Engineer ready to step into a broader construction management role.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams through complex structural works, balancing programme, safety, quality, and cost. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being close to site, supporting teams, and driving coordinated delivery.

  • Lead the construction delivery of pump station and structural works
  • Manage site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to meet programme targets
  • Own short and medium-term construction planning and resource coordination
  • Maintain oversight of costs, risks, and productivity
  • Set consistent standards across safety, quality, and environmental controls
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve issues and keep work moving

What You’ll Bring

  • A tertiary qualification in civil engineering or a related discipline
  • Significant experience delivering structural or water infrastructure works
  • Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and complex construction sequencing
  • Proven ability to lead engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
  • Sound judgement across planning, cost control, and risk management
  • A practical, people-focused leadership style
