Our Group Property division oversees and manages Fletcher Building’s vast and diverse property portfolio. This includes up to 1000 property interests covering 1.5 million square metres of building space. We own property in New Zealand, Australia, The Pacific, The Americas, Asia and Europe and that includes a variety of building spaces from industrial distribution centres, manufacturing plants, office buildings, retail warehouses, showrooms, quarries and storage yards to name a few!

The Role

We currently have a vacancy for a Property Asset Manager to join our Auckland based team at our Head Office in Penrose. This integral position will see you ensuring that the commercial aspects of your assigned national portfolio are being delivered in accordance with best-practice asset management, as well as managing the wider team. 

You will specifically be managing assets for the concrete and construction portfolio comprising of light industrial, heavy industrial and corporate spaces, and will be responsible for ensuring that the portfolio’s property leases and assets are managed in-line with the best interests of the Fletcher Group and matched with corporate strategy. 

Your key stakeholders in this position will include Agencies, Owners and REIT’s together with our internal Business Units including General and Commercial Managers, this position is truly about partnering with these stakeholders with an optimum outcome in mind for your portfolio.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • Significant relevant experience working in the NZ Property market
  • Possess strong negotiation skills and the ability to positively manage external relationships 
  • Be technically astute (leases, rent, property value) with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate a high customer service ethic - be prompt, responsive, and reliable
  • Be able to effectively manage your workload to meet required timeframes
