Lead Quality Excellence at Iplex – Make a Real Difference!

We’re looking for a passionate and practical Quality Assurance Specialist to support our growing business and ensure our quality systems, documentation, and processes meet operational needs. This fixed term role will champion compliance with engineering specifications, ISO and AS/NZS standards, and support continuous improvement across our manufacturing environment.

Working closely with our sales teams, customers, production teams, and technical specialists, you’ll help shape how we deliver quality, strengthen our Quality Management System (QMS), and embed best practice through training and guidance. If you enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and working with great people, this is a role where you can truly make an impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Work with teams and customers to ensure high-quality outcomes across our operations.
  • Review, develop, and improve processes, procedures, and documentation to support our QMS.
  • Draft and update QA procedures aligned with ISO 9001 and AS/NZS standards (e.g., 1477, 14001).
  • Map and refine critical workflows such as product testing and non-conformance handling.
  • Lead initiatives that improve efficiency, close process gaps, and lift operational performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide technical support for customer complaints, investigations, and product queries.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material quality and compliance.
  • Develop and deliver training to help embed strong QA practices across the business.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and help bring quality initiatives to life.

What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing and quality assurance—plastics experience preferred.
  • A degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001, AS/NZS standards, and plastics testing methods.
  • Technical capability in product application, verification processes, and standards interpretation.
  • Experience with QMS frameworks, SAP or lab management systems, and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with teams across the business.
  • A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset, someone who enjoys making things better and isn’t afraid to get involved.
Studies indicate that some females and minority groups may hesitate to apply unless they meet all the criteria. If this role interests you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement.

Our teams thrive on diversity, embracing various nationalities, languages, religions, customs, and lifestyles. We are proud of our diversity and see it as one of the things that make us better together.
