Join the Higgins team in Auckland as a full-time Quality Assurance Technician in our Surfacing Division. 

In this hands-on role, you’ll support our surfacing team by delivering accurate, timely data to ensure top-quality results. You’ll manage documentation control and monitor the quality of various roading surfaces, helping us maintain high standards across the board. Your day-to-day will include onsite field testing, applying mathematical and machinery-based procedures. To give you the full experience, you’ll occasionally be right there in the action, shovel in hand, backing up the team on site.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Previous surfacing experience and understanding of products used in asphalting
  • Experience on civils and roading projects in an engineering or technical quality control capacity 
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification
  • Class 1 Driver’s License (WTR endorsement a bonus) 
  • Willingness to work night and day shifts, including weekends when required
  • Strong technical, mathematical and analytical skills 
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable, honest and flexible
