About the Role

As a Quality Engineer within the Eastern Busway Alliance, you will be responsible for managing and facilitating all project quality requirements.

Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.
Conduct inspections and tests of structural works, including formwork, reinforcement, concrete placement, steelwork, and post-tensioning systems.
Monitor and verify workmanship during key construction phases, ensuring adherence to approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality observations.

What you’ll bring to the role

Qualified Civil Engineer or equivalent diploma.
Previous experience on structural projects in an engineering capacity is essential.
Strong understanding of project systems, processes, document management, handover deliverables, and quality principles around ISO 9001:2008.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with a variety of people.
Excellent forward planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage time well and prioritize work.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
Accuracy and attention to detail.

About Eastern Busway Alliance (EBA)

EBA includes Auckland Transport, Fletcher Construction, ACCIONA, AECOM, and Jacobs. We’re working on a major project for Auckland, adding dedicated lanes for high-frequency bus services that link Botany, Pakuranga, and nearby suburbs with the Panmure rail network. The project features cycling and walking paths, safety upgrades, environmental enhancements, roading improvements, and a Reeves Road flyover, offering more travel options and more reliable journey times.
