Winstone Aggregates is looking for a heavy machinery operator to join the team at our Meremere Quarry. This is a great opportunity for someone who is skilled on either a front-end loader or an excavator. Experience in a quarry is preferred but if you’re a quick learner you will fit right in.
The Concrete Division comprises Fletcher Building’s aggregate, cement and concrete businesses, employing over 1300 people across three business units. Winstone Aggregates is 150 years old and the largest supplier of sand and aggregate in New Zealand. We will offer you a steady and secure work environment.
Located near Maramarua Forest in an idyllic rural setting, this quarry offers the opportunity to be a part of a small, tightknit team of operators. It’s an easy commute from Waikato and South Auckland via the expressway. Hours of work are 7am – 5pm Monday to Friday with occasional half day Saturdays.
Travel times without traffic:
14 mins from Mercer, 15 minutes from Te Kauwhata, 18 mins from Pokeno, 23 mins from Bombay, 27 mins from Tuakau, 32 mins from Pukekohe and 36 mins from Papakura.
To be successful for this role you will need to have:
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence
- Heavy machinery experience
- Health and safety conscious
- Right to work in New Zealand
You’ll have strong attention to detail and be able to work under pressure. This is a small team so it’s essential you’re reliable and hardworking.
