Winstone Aggregates is looking for one new quarry operator to be based at Hunua Quarry. We’re looking for a talented individual to add to our team of seven. Hours of work are 2pm – 2am with occasional Saturdays required.

The Concrete Division comprises Fletcher Building’s aggregate, cement and concrete businesses, employing over 1300 people across three business units. Winstone Aggregates is 150 years old and the largest supplier of sand and aggregate in New Zealand. We will offer you a steady and secure work environment.

Simply, the fixed crusher is a machine designed to crush rocks into smaller pieces known as aggregates. This is a role with a strong sense of responsibility. You’re on the lookout for anything that can or might go wrong. You’ll be striving to get the aggregate to the best possible quality within tight timeframes.

To be successful for this role you will need to have:
  • A full New Zealand driver’s licence
  • WTR is an advantage
  • Health and safety awareness
  • Right to work in New Zealand
  • You’ll have strong attention to detail and be able to work under pressure. This is a great team so it’s essential you’re reliable and easy to get along with.

In return we’ll offer you:
  • Fletcher Building staff benefits such as staff purchasing, fuel discounts and access to the employee education fund
  • A guaranteed 50 hour week
  • Career advancement opportunities

If you’re not afraid of hard work, passionate about machinery and keen to learn then we’d like to hear from you.
