Description

Winstone Aggregates has been shaping Aotearoa’s infrastructure for more than 150 years.
As part of the Fletcher Building family, we’re proud to support communities with products that help build homes, roads, and essential public spaces. We work with care for our people and the environment, encouraging collaboration, learning, and steady growth.

We’re seeking a Quarry Supervisor who enjoys leading others, supporting a positive team culture, and helping a site run smoothly and safely. This is a role where you can influence how things are done, continue to grow your capability, and make a meaningful difference every day.

Why join us
  • Supportive, people‑focused leadership culture
  • Opportunities for development and progression across Fletcher Building
  • A warm, inclusive team environment
  • Competitive package, benefits, and wellbeing support
  • Commitment to safety, sustainability, and community
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll guide our extraction, mobile processing, and sales yard teams to deliver consistent production and quality. Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing day‑to‑day coaching, encouragement, and clear communication to operators
  • Organising resources so production plans are met and the team feels well‑supported
  • Helping your team grow skills and confidence, while reinforcing Winstone Aggregates’ values
  • Supporting ongoing improvements to safety, environmental care, and plant performance
  • Monitoring product quality and resolving issues with a calm, solutions‑focused approach
  • Using site data and visual management tools to guide conversations and decisions
  • Building collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams
What you’ll bring
We welcome applicants with a strengths‑based, people‑centred leadership style. You’ll also bring:
  • Experience in quarry systems, equipment, or similar operational environments
  • A supportive approach to team leadership, coaching, and communication
  • Understanding of relevant legislation (e.g., RMA, H&S requirements)
  • Confidence using technology and site‑based data to guide decisions
  • An openness to learning, problem‑solving, and improving how we do things
Ready to grow your leadership with us?
If you enjoy creating a safe, inclusive, and high‑performing environment and want to be part of a trusted New Zealand brand, we’d love to hear from you.

Research shows that females and minority groups don’t apply for roles unless they match 100% the job description.

We are proud of your diversity and see it as one of the things that make us stronger. We welcome your individuality and encourage you to bring your true self to work, so if this role is of interest but you feel you don’t fit it, we would still love you to apply.
