Winstone Aggregates is a long-established New Zealand business with over 150 years of experience supplying aggregates for infrastructure, construction, and community development. As part of Fletcher Building, the company operates nationwide and is committed to safe, sustainable operations and supporting local communities.

Our Belmont quarry is looking for a Quarry Supervisor is responsible for leading daily quarry operations to ensure safe, efficient, and productive outcomes. 

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supervising plant, yard, and face operations to achieve production and dispatch targets
  • Coordinating drilling, blasting, extraction, and material processing activities
  • Monitoring production performance and contributing to operational planning 
  • Leading, coaching, and supporting a team of operators to build capability and engagement
  • Ensuring effective plant utilisation and coordinating maintenance activities 
  • Maintaining strong communication with sales and logistics teams to meet customer demand
  • Promoting and maintaining a high standard of health, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities across operations, safety, and productivity
  • Engaging with stakeholders including customers, contractors, local authorities, and community groups
Hours of Work
  • Minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Work is scheduled between Monday to Sunday,
  • Hours fall within 6:00am to 6:00pm, depending on operational requirements
Remuneration
  • Salary range: $100,000 to $140,000 per annum
  • Paid in accordance with New Zealand employment legislation

Minimum Requirements (Skills & Experience)
  • Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience in quarrying, mining, or heavy industry operations 
  • Demonstrated leadership experience supervising operational teams 
  • Knowledge of quarry operations, plant, and production processes
  • Understanding of New Zealand health, safety, and environmental legislation (including H&S at Work Act and Resource Management requirements) 
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Competency using standard business systems (e.g., Microsoft Office)
