We have an opportunity for an experienced Regional Finance Manager to join the Higgins team in Bay of Plenty. This is a senior position reporting to the Area Finance Manager, where you will be lead the financials for the Higgins region while managing a team. You’ll work closely with our highly skilled managers to help drive the region’s success.

You’ll bring a modern approach to accounting and the ability to operate in a fast paced environment. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as you’ll engage with a wide range of key internal stakeholders. This is a hands on role, so we’re looking for a quick thinker with strong problem solving abilities, high attention to detail, and the capability to provide accurate information promptly.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Tertiary qualification in accounting with at least 5 years’ practical experience
Experience using the JDE operating system is highly sought after
Prior experience in Civil Contracting/Construction industries is desirable.
CA status or working towards this (support available)
Experience managing a team is preferred but not essential – you will enjoy leading people or be ready to step into leadership
Confidence in owning and managing workflows with competing deadlines
Highly organised, with strong prioritisation and communication skills
