The role:

We have an exciting opportunity in this role, where you’ll lead the region’s sales account managers through planning, motivating and coaching, to deliver exception customer relationships and exceed key sales KPI’s against budgets. Your relationship skills will prove invaluable, as you collaborate with your team, suppliers and your peers, as well as building and strengthening relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

Daily you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and securing key customer/ client relationships, develop, secure and manage, new and existing customer relationships with key customers within the region
  • Driving and coaching sales tactics, sales processes, and sales disciplines to achieve target levels of sales, margin and share of wallet for Mico.  
  • Meeting and exceeding key business KPI’s, including revenue targets, customer NPS & safety leadership.
  • Developing the regional sales strategy, priorities and plans that align with national sales strategy, and supports the outcomes for the Region
  • Leading a safety culture, while driving a collaborative, engaging high performance team culture.


This is a permanent full time role Based in Wellington to allow Mico and the sales team to maximise the commercial opportunity in the region.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager will provide leadership to the sales team within the Lower North Island, with a focus on coaching and training to grow capability and drive sales performance.  All aspects of the role are to be performed according to company standards, values and adhering to occupational health and safety guidelines

Skills and Experience:
  • Previous Experience in the Building / Plumbing or Electrical Industry is a must
  • Proven Experience leading Successful Sales Teams
  • Unmatched Relationship building / Customer care and Communication skills
  • Skilled in formulating persuasive, clear and formal presentation of ideas in both written and verbal formats.
  • Strong Negotiation and Decision-Making ability
  • Relationship Building Skills across all organisational levels
  • Energetic and Enthusiastic, with a hunger for growth and development
  • Full Clean NZ Drivers License
