About the role: 

In this role you will be accountable for managing the execution of our delivery services operation, with a focus on customer service and cost efficiency for the Christchurch branch network. You will be responsible for the timely dispatch and delivery of our products to our customers, ensuring safety and operational optimisation across the logistics and transportation functions.
This is first and foremost a leadership role, so your ability to create a strong team culture based on collaboration, while striving for excellence, is critical.

Daily responsibilities include:

Maintaining communication between our team of drivers to ensure successful execution of our delivery targets.
Championing our Health, Safety and Environmental Practices across the team
Managing the wellbeing of our Fleet of vehicles including planned/unplanned maintenance as well as daily preventative tasks to reduce / manage incident damage costs
Providing a GREAT end to end delivery service, by managing branch and customer engagement and expectations. 

This is a permanent full-time role, offering 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday based in our Christchurch region. 


Skills and Experience:

Previous Transport Logistics and Distribution Experience (5+ years)
Excellent Analytical Ability
Unmatched Communication Skills, emphasising the distribution of information across different units within and outside the firm
Skilled in formulating persuasive, clear and formal presentation of ideas in both written and verbal formats.
Strong Negotiation and Decision-Making ability
Relationship Building Skills across all organisational levels
Energetic and Enthusiastic

You will be service-driven and solution-oriented to ensure delivery processes operate smoothly and efficiently, and you will have the ability to build strong and enduring relationships, to partner with the branches to communicate and add value on all touch points.
Your demonstrated experience in Supply Chain, logistics or similar, along with your ability to influence and persuade without power through effective communication, will set you up for success in this role.
