We’re looking for a Reliability Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operations at our Dardanup production site.

About the Role
As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in maximizing asset performance and ensuring consistent and efficient operations.  This pivotal role focuses on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and implementing proactive maintenance strategies to support production targets, cost control, and product quality in a competitive environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Asset Reliability & Performance – Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies for critical equipment; monitor performance using predictive and preventive tools; conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintenance Optimization – Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve work practices and reduce unplanned downtime; establish condition monitoring programs (vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication analysis); identify opportunities for cost savings through improved asset life cycles.
  • Data & Reporting – Maintain reliability metrics (MTBF, MTTR, OEE) and report trends; use CMMS to track maintenance activities and equipment history; provide technical input for capital projects and equipment upgrades.
  • Continuous Improvement – Lead initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability; train operators and maintenance staff on reliability best practices; benchmark reliability performance against industry standards.

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3–5 years’ experience in reliability, maintenance, or engineering within manufacturing; wood products, pulp & paper, or heavy industry preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder influence and relationship-building skills to drive outcomes.
  • Proficient in data analysis, use MEX and Lighthouse BPICS for insights and process optimization.
  • Solid knowledge of reliability principles (RCM, FMEA, RCA).
  • Hands-on with predictive maintenance technologies and CMMS software.
  • Familiarity with particle board manufacturing highly desirable.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical data and turn it into actionable improvements.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator across operations, maintenance, and engineering.
  • Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • A supportive team environment focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • The chance to make a real impact in a leading manufacturing business.
