Description

The Higgins Green Team in Napier are looking for a permanent full time STMS to join the Traffic Management Crew.

About the role

In this role you will be, leading a crew of 4, responsible for carrying out and supervising temporary traffic management duties on roadwork sites ensuring safety of the people on site, the public, traffic, and compliance. You will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 6am-6pm and have the flexibility to work additional hours/days as required.

Design, adjust, and implement traffic management plans
Ensure compliance with safety measures and TMPs
Coordinate and delegate tasks to crew members
Maintain accurate daily records and report incidents
Provide training and guidance to staff
Safely control traffic and maintain equipment

What you’ll bring to the role

A safety-first attitude – for yourself, your team and the public
STMS with Cat A / Cat B practising warrant
Proven experience in the traffic industry
Experience leading a crew is desirable
Full Class 1 Licence is essential, Class 2 licence desirable
Ability to work on call / night work
A high level of physical fitness due to the physical nature of the role
