Description:

Health and Safety at Fletcher Building
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for safety professionals at Fletcher Building and we are looking for future leaders to join our teams!
Fletcher Building is embarking on a multi-year safety change programme to take our safety programme (Protect) to world-class levels in terms of safety culture, capability and critical risk management.
To do this, we have partnered with Dupont Sustainable Solutions (DSS). DSS is a world leader in safety culture and operational excellence with over 50 years’ experience in helping organisations improve operational effectiveness and capabilities through world-class thinking such as the Dupont-Bradley Curve.
As a safety professional, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from the best in the business and join a leadership team that is committed to redefining how we do safety in NZ and Australia.

About us
With more than 15,000 people across New Zealand and Australia, Fletcher Building is a leading building solutions organisation made up of people who use all of their experience, skills and individuality to do amazing work.
With over 30 businesses operating across seven divisions, we are enriched by many different cultures. There has never been a better time to join the Fletcher Building family where our people are proud to say, "We made it".

About the opportunity
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a management-level individual to join our Corporate head office based EHS function. We are looking for operational, systems or safety managers who are capable of: reviewing, developing and adapting systems and processes; collaborating and coordinating multiple stakeholders; and supporting the line and operations teams to implement global best practice.

As the Accountability Workstream Lead you will be responsible for supporting the revision of targets/plans/KPIs, strengthening the governance of committees and councils, redefining the safety roles through EHS and line. This role will also see you developing an EHS competency framework and optimising our systems and processes to align with our shift in mindsets.

About You
We’re keen to speak to leaders highly skilled in the development and refining of systems and processes and experience in managing projects. A proven leader, you will be passionate about developing the safety profession.

If this sounds like you, we’d like to talk.
