Role Overview:

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our commercial Business Development Managers (BDMs). Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the estimation, specification, and coordination of new construction projects. This involves pricing quotations and effectively responding to tenders, both domestically and internationally. Accuracy and efficiency are paramount, ensuring all tasks are completed within established business processes, guidelines, and policies. Your contribution will be instrumental in maintaining our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction in the competitive construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for the accurate and timely production of quotations and specification presentations to meet sales staff / customer needs. Deliver consistent, professional, accurate and timely project quotations
Construction project drawings review and accurate take-offs for preparation of tender responses, specifications and indicative project quotations
Adhere to national processes for all functions of estimation and co-ordination
Enhance Sales and Operations view of won project work, with emphasis on long lead time product
Achievement of performance metrics as directed by Commercial Sales Manager
Attend and contribute to meetings as required
Deliver margin improvement through initiatives, follow up & communication

Requirements:

Experience in commercial, sales, operational and or customer service experience, preferably in plumbing or construction environment
A good working knowledge of Front of Wall plumbing products for kitchen & bathroom fitouts, including the competitive landscape (manufacturers, merchants and technical landscape)
Comprehensive knowledge of the commercial sales process, including pricing and profit.
A good understanding of sales and operations requirements
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
Strong planning, co-ordination and time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Understanding of Microsoft Excel, Salesforce and SAP (preferred)
