Description

Our team is growing, and we have a newly created role for an experienced Senior Bid Writer to support our Higgins and Major Projects teams to lead comprehensive submissions.

As a Senior Bid Writer, you will play a pivotal role in securing Capital Works contracts by leading the bid writing process from start to finish. This position requires exceptional writing and editing skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of bid management. You will collaborate closely with cross-function teams, manage multiple projects, and drive continuous improvement in our proposal content.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • An understanding and demonstrable application of capture planning / strategic / customer focused writing
  • Previous proven experience in business writing and/or bid writing in the civil engineering sector 
  • Ability to write succinctly and persuasively for a business/engineering audience with creative flair 
  • Proven ability in planning, producing and delivering compliant proposal documents 
  • Understanding the basics of graphic design and ability to work collaboratively with a graphics designer
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to see the ‘big picture’ at the same time 
  • Able to assign tasks to others and track delivery of those tasks so deadlines are met
  • Able to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines with strong time management/prioritisation skills
