About the role
The Group Assurance team creates impact by adding value and enhancing operations through the delivery of top-tier assurance and consulting services.  As the Senior Internal Auditor - Technology, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our internal audit agenda. This dynamic and varied role involves delivering assurance engagements and related projects with a focus on technology, including data, cybersecurity, and data privacy.

You will act as a key business partner, playing a critical role in the success of the Fletcher Building Group by employing a systematic approach to evaluate and enhance the Group’s key risk management, control, and governance processes, predominantly in the technology and digital spaces.

Working alongside our experienced Technology Assurance Lead, you will help ensure and enhance the integrity of the Group’s control environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact and add value across our dynamic organisation, promoting your professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Audit Execution: Conduct internal audits and consulting reviews aligned with our annual assurance plan, focusing on technology and digital topics like cybersecurity, e-commerce, and large IT transformation initiatives
  • Strategic Projects: Drive special projects and provide commercial insights on non-audit consulting assignments
  • Collaboration and Best Practices: Work closely with the Technology Assurance Lead and Group Assurance team to implement best practices and technologies that enhance audit efficiency
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure top-quality internal control assurance and consulting services that align with the Group Assurance Charter
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Forge strong relationships with business units to advise on risk management and control improvements
  • Audit Innovation: Contribute to the development of internal audit methodologies and technologies
  • Communication: Effectively communicate complex audit findings to senior stakeholders and prepare impactful assurance reports

About you
To be considered you’ll hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Science, or Engineering (e.g., accounting, IT, finance, economics, business management, statistics) with at least 4 years in an auditing environment, with substantial IT audit experience.   This will be gained ideally from a Big 4 firm or internal audit team within a large Corporate. This will be coupled with exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage effectively at all management levels when providing innovative problem-solving and a constructive approach to process improvements.

Advanced proficiency in the MS Office suite is required. Experience in e-commerce, cybersecurity, data privacy, and internal controls is highly advantageous, as is familiarity with ERP systems (JDE, SAP) and cloud platforms.  Certifications: CA, CIA, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CDPSE, CCOA are desirable.
