About the Role

Join Brian Perry Civil as a Planner / Senior Planner and help shape the successful delivery of major civil and infrastructure projects across New Zealand. Working across both tenders and live projects, you'll develop practical construction programmes, work closely with operational teams, and provide the analysis needed to support project delivery and commercial outcomes.

This role offers variety, technical challenge, and the opportunity to learn from experienced planning professionals. Whether you're an established Senior Planner or an emerging planner ready for the next step, we'll support your development and growth.

  • Develop, review, and maintain tender and project programmes using Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Work alongside project teams to build construction methodologies, sequencing plans, and delivery strategies
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and opportunities, and provide programme reporting to stakeholders
  • Support forensic schedule analysis by investigating project events, delays, and productivity impacts
  • Assist with extension of time claims and programme-based evidence for commercial matters
  • Build strong working relationships across project, commercial, engineering, and client teams

What You’ll Bring

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • Experience in construction planning, scheduling, or project controls within civil, infrastructure, or construction environments
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
  • Exposure to forensic schedule analysis, claims support, or delay analysis
  • Experience working across both tenders and project delivery
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand construction methodology and project sequencing
  • Confidence managing relationships with a range of stakeholders and communicating programme information clearly
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
