Description

We’re looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Mount Maunganui team and drive technical excellence across roading and infrastructure projects. This is a pivotal role where you’ll plan, coordinate, and manage engineering processes to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. You’ll work closely with project teams and subcontractors, providing leadership and technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Price, tender, and secure work, staying current with industry standards.
  • Plan and organise project resources.
  • Manage projects to meet estimates and maximise efficiency.
  • Oversee work programmes and financials.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications, policies, and legislation.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and teams.
  • Champion best practices in health, safety, environment, and quality.
  • Lead and support project teams.

What You’ll Bring:
  • Proven experience as a Civil Engineer in the roading/civil engineering/construction sector.
  • Formal tertiary qualification or equivalent expertise.
  • Strong understanding of NZ legislative frameworks and project management best practices.
  • High-level communication and influencing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building effective relationships.
  • High attention to detail and strong computer skills (MS packages).
