We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our team in Masterton. The successful candidate will lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet or exceed time, cost, and quality targets in a safe work environment.


What you will enjoy doing

  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and reporting to achieve financial targets.
  • Oversee contract administration, ensuring compliance and managing risks.
  • Drive procurement strategies and manage supplier and subcontractor relationships.
  • Lead design management processes to ensure effective design outcomes.
  • Champion health and safety policies, ensuring a safe work environment for all.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Implement robust information management practices using Procore.
  • Lead project governance processes and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.


What you’ll bring to the role

  • Experience in 3-waters, subdivisions, road construction, surfacing and road maintenance.
  • Experience managing construction teams, consultants and forging strong customer relationships.
  • Estimating capability would be beneficial (or at minimum be able to review tender productivities etc)
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and influencing skills.
  • Proven understanding of project management best practice, tools, techniques, market trends and product innovation. 
  • Critical thinking, analysis, problem solving and effective decision-making.
